  • MAY 28 – 1pm Eastern – TSDCA SALON 28 – DAPHNE ORAM AND ORAMICS
    • Details – Our friend from the UK, composer/designer Sarah Angliss, who joined us earlier this year for several salons including an inspiring one about her work, wrote the intro for a book about (and anthology of writings by) the great pioneering British electronic composer Daphne Oram.  Sarah and her friend composer Tom Richards – who himself has built an Oramics Machine and will give us a demonstration, join us for an inventive look at this important artist whose career spans from work with the BBC to symphonic pieces, work with turntables (before many others had the idea) and extensive electronic work, including music and sound heard in both DR WHO and DR NO – JOIN US!
  • JUNE 11 – 1pm Eastern – TSDCA SALON 29 – SPECTRALISM
    • Details – SPECTRALISM – GRISEY & LIGETI AND ON FROM THERE – Our friend TSDCA member Jeffrey Levin helps lead us through a deep dive into some GREAT music – a look at Spectralism from Grisey on to Ligeti (important, at times controversially so in Kubrick’s films) and on from there.  Spectralism was part of our Salon with Ken Ueno, and will be once again when we talk about Daphne Oram – will be great to continue that discussion – more details soon, all suggestions welcome.
