Ableton Live is a piece of music software that is used by DJs, producers, and live performers around the world. In recent years, it has also seen a ton of increased popularity in the world of musical theatre. This two-part class led by Music Director and Software Engineer Cynthia Meng will serve as a general overview and introduction for some ways that Ableton Live can be incorporated into musical theatre performance and rehearsals. We will see how the software can be used to trigger click tracks and backing tracks, and do some basic exercises together to get you started in your exploration of Ableton.
