Day by Day:

SATURDAY, July 26th (at the Judy Bayley Theater, UNLV Campus)

3pm – 4:30pm

  • Welcome and Early Career Roundtable – led by Newton (Newt) Schottelkotte with special guests Katherine Gonzalez, Ien Denio, Daniela Holt, and Toby Chester. A new coat of paint on a TSDCA staple, the Early Career Roundtable will pick the brains of some of TSDCA’s top working designers, sharing their diverse range of experiences in the world of live sound. Attendees will have the opportunity to register for a series of one-on-one networking speed dates with their select choice of panelists following the discussion.

5:pm – 6:30pm

  • Hands-On Soundscape Lab – with Natalie (Nat)  Houle and Alex Ritter.
A common sentiment among theatrical sound designers these days is that they are interested in exploring spatial audio modalities, but that the opportunities to do so are few and far between. Combining the intention of enablement with the energy of the arrival day for the 10th Annual Meeting, we will prepare a storytelling-centric spatial audio presentation and lab for our attendees. This 1.5-hour session will serve as an introduction to Soundscape and an interactive opportunity for attendees to experience control software using theatre-centric audio content.

7:15pm – 8:30pm

9:30pm

  • Awakening at the Wynn Las Vegas
    • Our block is limited and tickets are almost sold out.  Please contact jane@janeshaw.com to see if there are seats left. $92 donation to TSDCA to reserve your seat if available.
  • Talkback with Simon Matthews, Associate Sound Designer for Awakening
